CONGRATULATION

I would like to say congratulation to all of my friends that has win the general election and become a members of People’s Refresentative Council and Regional Refresentative council. And I hope all of you won’t forget the people that had choised you to be their spokesman. One thing to remember, that people, irrespective of their back grounds and culture differences are willing to see their ideals and hopes become reality in the future. And also there are many cultural questions in our birthland to take into account, and a plenty of tradisional arts has to be concerned to protective, facilitate, and to be subsidied.

As refresent of West Sulawesi, you’ll have many tasks to perform, and many efforts has to be done in order to make this region follow the right path of development. As we know our province are still backward region in this nation, so we have to do our best to free from this shame status by flowreing and imbue in people mind the importance of education system. And very important too, you should should ask the government to build and construct a Social overhead capitals, such a roads, power, bridges, and harbors.

Above all, we still under pressure to make the idea and our constitution goals become reality. There are too many ‘ Sinar’ in our region. For axample, not far from the governor’s house, we’ll see many children have sacrifice their life in order to assist their parents to earn money or to make their living by seeking fish in a shore. A thousands kids has kill their future, wasting their time outside the schools. They suppose to study and playing with their fellow friends at present. But poverty has push them to do what their parents should do. Now, who is to be blamed?

Can all of you make a changes? Or make a mends to this social anomaly and phatological problems. You and policy makers should rigorously empirical to see the social fact in the field . From the experimental studies and research, we still facing abundant of mental illness, violence, divorce, juvenile delinquence, even the potensial racial. Religious and class conflict. This an effect of the process of differentiation in the population. Especially after the general election, there will be raising new structures assume new functions, and new man will appear. But should be “ The last man standing” to protect the social from being broken and collaps.

You have to concern to the way to build capacity of the people and empower them, to assist the central or local government to make a wise and proper policy, along with your function as a law makers. Since these capabilities assume that the populace shares a national identification and views the political system as legitimate. So, you have to give attention to this circumstances and considering all of the attitudes and behaviour of people participation. To respond their wants and aspirations, to share power with others to find a better way to get the progress. And finaly I should say in short, that you have to increase your capacity to innovate change, respond to demands for change, and cope with social conplict.

By the way, you should stand for the right of tradisional customs, cultur, and arts, in order to enhance the economic progress and leveling the living standard of the people, you need not make a frontal attack to the traditional values, but just give people the oppurtunities and incentives to develop their self. It’s not values that impede profitable economic activity, but land tenure systems tha deny peasants the gain from increasing productivity, taxes that slow the flow of goods from one portion of the country to another, and elaborate bureaucratic regulation the retard the rate of investment. And this is you task to overcome all of the barriers to get the welfare of the state, nation and the people. Bravo!
